Availability of Funding
Due to a reduction in government funding the Wash Fens Rural Development Programme is currently oversubscribed for projects seeking to fund activities between 1 April 2011 and 31 March 2012. We are open for business as usual to receive new applications for projects that will undertake activity between 1 April 2012 and 30 September 2013.
On a case by case basis, we may be in a position to consider applications for high quality projects in 2011/12 on the understanding that successful bids would not be able to claim any RDPE Grant until after 1st April 2012. Projects operating in this way would have to establish their own bankrolling/ funding arrangements during 2011/12.
Please contact us to confirm the latest position before submitting an Expression of Interest. Should more funding become available later in the year, updates will be posted on this website.
Please note that applying for funding is likely to become increasingly competitive and priority will be given to good quality projects that are well developed and ‘ready to go’. This means that match funding has been secured, evidence of need and demand has been established and any planning permissions or other consents that are required have been obtained.
