Conservation and upgrading of rural heritage

Support is available for the conservation and upgrading of rural heritage and culture. This especially relates to the traditional farmed landscape in rural areas.
Examples may include;
- the restoration and maintenance of traditional features such as building walls and hedges
- local research studies
- environmental and heritage audits
- small-scale infrastructure improvements
Eligible Activities:-
- environmental awareness actions and investments associated with the maintenance, restoration and upgrading of the natural heritage
- undertake small-scale infrastructural improvements
- studies and investments associated with maintenance, restoration and upgrading of the cultural heritage, such as the cultural features of cultural and environmental heritage.
Eligilbe Costs:-
- grant aid towards the costs of capital investments
- interpretation and materials
- research studies
- audits
Outputs - we will expect eligible grant recipients to achieve the following:-
- number of rural heritage actions supported
